A position as data manager within the Integrative Systems Biology area lead by Professor Søren Brunak is to be filled as soon as possible. The position is time limited until January 31, 2019.

A PhD Scholarship focused on ascertaining the impacts of micro and macro plastics on habitat quality and the dynamics of exploitable marine resources is available at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), National Institute of Aquatic Resources (DTU Aqua), starting in May 2018. The scholarship is financed by various sources, including the EU Project CLAIM Cleaning Litter by developing and Applying Innovative Methods in European Seas.
In many parts of the world, marine habitats are degraded by anthropogenic activities including the introduction of micro and macro plastics. These particles impact on species vital rates and as a result have the potential to influence aquaculture installations and the population dynamics of exploited fish stocks.
DTU Food invite applications for a 3-year PhD candidature starting spring 2018. The project is part of a larger initiative to improve risk assessment of endocrine disrupting chemicals and thereby better safeguard human health.
The project will have focus on characterizing mechanisms behind reproductive effects of early life exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals.

Two 3-year PhD scholarships in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Spectroscopy are available at the Division for Theoretical, Computational and Femtochemistry, Department of Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark.
The projects will be conducted in close collaboration with at least one of the other COSINE research groups, and extended stays in these groups are required. Secondments to participating industrial partners during the training program are also mandatory.

Technical University of Denmark (DTU) has an open PhD position (early-stage researcher) in the H2020 MSCA ITN RealVision project at DTU Fotonik.
The goal of the project is to encode light field image data for flexible access and processing. Light field video and imaging lead to very large amounts of data and coding is crucial to utilize the data efficiently. High-quality coding of light field data facilitating interactive, visually oriented applications will be developed.
The coding scheme will be based on modelling relations of subsets, e.g. close-by views and efficient coding of these. For modelling, advanced flow and motion estimation formulations will be established for subsets of the data.
A PhD fellowship in experimental research on larval culture of European eel is available at the National Institute for Aquatic Resources (DTU Aqua) at the Technical University of Denmark. The position will be placed in the Fish Biology Research Group in the Section for Marine Living Resources with about 35 staff members.
The position will be part of the research and innovation project: Improve technology and scale-up production of offspring for European eel aquaculture (ITS-EEL).
The project is performed in collaboration with the Danish industry and international collaborators. Here, the main goal is to breed eels and establish a captive production of glass eels for a sustainable aquaculture of this critically endangered species.
This project aims to advance the state of the art in time-lens based technologies for high capacity optical access networks and utilize their potential for energy-efficiency. This will be done by developing novel optical processing units and schemes, developing linear/nonlinear components optimized for broadband applications and developing advanced sub-systems based on optical time lenses.
The project will explore novel ways of using integrated optical circuits for ultrahigh capacity energy-efficient optical access networks beyond the ‘techno barriers’, and finally demonstrate 10 times more capacity and orders of magnitude more energy efficient systems.
A new highly flexible and scalable optical line terminal (OLT) structure based on time lens optical Fourier transformation (OFT) will be explored for optical access networks. The work will hold a theoretical and experimental part.
