Who are you?

You are here to assist restaurant guests by taking their order, serving tables their requested meals and drinks, and preparing bills at the end of the table's meal. You are also responsible for asking guests if they are satisfied with their meal and providing any assistance should the guests not be satisfied.

To be successful as a waiter you must have the endurance to stand for long hours and have patience with difficult guest. A good waiter anticipates the needs of guests and provides all services in a friendly manner.

You are only as good as your last shift so always strive to be the best.

Main Duties

• Available to cover shifts mainly Thurs - Sat (busy periods)
• Set up restaurant ready for service
• Greet guests and hand out menus
• Take meal and beverage orders from guests and place these orders with the kitchen, using Trivec till system
• Make menu recommendations and inform guests of any specials.
• Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared.
• Check that guests are satisfied with their meal.
• Prepare the bill for tables when requested.
• Check and lose all bills and ensure that they have been paid in full and apply any discount if required.
• Administer change to tables if needed

Requirements

• Endurance to walk and stand for long hours.
• Flexible work hours.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult guests.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Coordination to carry plates or trays without dropping anything.
• Good Personal hygiene
• Problem solver
• Knowledge of a second language (English/Swedish) is a plus.
• Assist with orienting new employees into the workplace.
