About us In 2022, Instabee was founded after combining Budbee and Instabox - two leading last-mile delivery companies with three consumer-facing brands: Budbee, Instabox, and Porterbuddy. Instabee serves millions of consumers across Europe with convenient deliveries and is on track to become the leading European e-commerce enabler. Always with the consumer at heart. As we continue to expand, the complexity of Instabee grows in parallel. With that in mind, we’re now looking for a Staff Engineer to help us on the journey ahead. Some of the things you’ll do As a Staff Engineer, you will work across multiple engineering teams. What you do on a daily basis depends on what your teams need help with. One team might be doing a major overhaul of a legacy system they just inherited, another might need input on what authentication provider to choose, and a third might currently be in a great state with little need of support. Thus, what you do for a team depends on the team's current state and might change over time. Some common areas of support the SE can give to the team. Support teams with hard technical problems or architecture How and when to collaborate with other teams How and when to address technical debt Pragmatism: How to incrementally address a problem, or when to move slowly and carefully and when to move fast and loose Our engineers make some of the most important decisions for the company and our products. We’re looking for people who enjoy learning, sharing, and working with other developers to solve new and interesting problems. You will also mentor more junior engineers and get the chance to see them grow and take on more complex problems. When you join us, you’ll have a part in deciding the technologies that we use. What We're Looking For At Instabee we value individuals who are keen to learn and have an eagerness to develop their skill set as well as mentoring junior colleagues. You master several different technologies but you have no problem in picking up new ones. Some examples of what we at Instabee use are Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, GCP/GKE, and Terraform. If you're a skilled problem solver who loves coding and making complex things work, then this is the place for you.
