The team - That shapes our success!

Kambi Engineering consists more than 300+ people who are globally committed to keep Kambi at the forefront of the sports technology industry. We are currently hiring Senior Java Engineers for our Bet management Stream. You will be owning the end-to-end solution of enabling external providers to integrate with Kambi, laying the groundwork to evolve our system into a multi-tenant trading platform.

As a Java developer your day-to-day work will look like:

  • Build scalable and maintainable systems that run and fail gracefully.
  • Write testable and tested software in collaboration with our testers.
  • Mainly work with these technologies:
  • Java 11+
  • Maven
  • REST/JSON
  • Embedded Jetty
  • Kafka
  • Kubernetes
  • ZooKeeper
  • PostgreSQL
  • Linux
  • Ansible
  • JavaScript/HTML/TypeScript/React
  • Embrace DevOps methodology: Continuous integration, delivery, and monitoring of code in production.
  • Monitor our products in production, finding ways of improving them.

You'll be a great fit for the role, if you:

  • Worked in a team for minimum 6 years developing, deploying and maintaining one or more software products in production and have excellent knowledge of Java.
  • Proved ability to understand complex technical environments and have relevant experience in creating high scalability applications.
  • Demonstrated that you have the mindset and skills to become an effective part of a cross-functional, self-organizing, self-managing team.
  • Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
  • Have the ability to write clean, well-structured and readable code.
  • Demonstrate excellent speaking and writing English skills.

Let's talk about what's in it for you?

  • A fun and flexible work environment.
  • Work with smart and humble colleagues - very strong with both data structures and design patterns.
  • Working in a fully autonomous team of 4 senior members, small enough for every voice to matter and large enough to have all the skills needed to do our work and learn from each other.
  • Ability to directly influence your teams' work environment and processes.

And one last thing...

We'd be happy if you tick off all our boxes yet we also believe it's just as important we tick off almost all of yours. And if you think you have most of what we're looking for but not every single thing, go ahead and hit apply. We'd still love to hear from you!

We want a balance between office work and working from home. We believe we will all gain from the best of both worlds, so the way of working in Kambi is hybrid (the presence in the office for a minimum of 2 days/week is required).

Come and join us!
