Who are you?

Nexer in Västerås and Ludvika now needs to strengthen the team with more SCADA engineers.

We believe that you have a background and previous experience with:

• Data communication and network technology with focus on SCADA.
• Both engineering and commissioning activities in previous roles.
• Communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC-101/104).
• Databases and high-availability solutions.
• Networking/switching and routers and if you have experience in scripting languages and automation technologies is a major plus.

We also see that you:

• Are proficient in English since you will be part of an international team and be communicating with people from all over the world. Knowledge in Swedish is favorable.
• Have a university degree in a relevant technical area, preferably Computer Science or similar.
• Teamwork is an essential part of the job, and we see that you contribute with your positive and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Your main responsibility will be Station Control and Monitoring (SCM) scope of the projects which includes computer networking, HMI, SCADA, database management.
• You will be an important pilar of global projects throughout all phases of our projects. The different phases are tendering, conceptual design, detailed design, testing, installation, and commissioning.
• Building complete infrastructure of networks and systems to support our client operations.
• Complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size of portions of major projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.

The assignments are with our clients who operate in both the public and private sectors. Many of our clients in the private sector build tomorrow's products and are found in electric power, the defense industry and automated industry. In the public sector, we have clients all over the country and you, as a consultant, work either on site at the client, in our own Nexer office or from home, often in a hybrid combination. You work independently in the assignment, or you are part of a team with several colleagues from Nexer.
