Research Scientist in Enzyme Technology

Here's what you would do,

In this role, you will get to exploring new enzyme applications as well as improving existing solutions. You will use analytical techniques such as for example chromatography to characterize components involved in the bioprocess, ranging from raw materials to final products. This is a role where you get to be explorative, creative and search for new technological solutions. You will scan the market for innovative enzyme solutions, keeping track on research within the field, always with focus on developing technologies that enables us to create great food products. You will contribute to multi-disciplinary R&D projects within a dynamic and collaborative environment, working cross-regionally and cross-functionally to deliver on innovation goals. Contributing with your expertise in what enzymes can do and using analytical techniques to characterize products from the processes, you help building new technology platforms that take our liquid oat technology to the next level.

You are a researcher and an innovative, analytical and curious person, ready to be the driving force in developing new technological solutions for Oatly. You are a social and creative addition to the team. Ready to be hands on as well as structured and strategic and share your knowledge with a wide range of teammates both cross-functionally and globally throughout the company. You like to work with others, to plan and lead the research and development work, but also to participate in the hands-on work in lab and pilot scale. An ever-changing environment suits you and you are good at adapting and making the most of every opportunity making sure Oatly continues to be world-class in our field.

We hope to see that you check the following boxes:

  • PhD, or equivalent relevant experience, in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Food Science, Food technology or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Working knowledge of characterizing enzymes and their technological applications.
  • Working knowledge of advanced analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and rheology.
  • Experience in experimental design and working knowledge of statistical methods and tools.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).

We would be thrilled if you also have experience of working with oat and plant-based products.
