ABB Electrification's products distribution solutions unit is a global leader in distribution solutions. The unit provides solutions for a stronger, smarter, sustainable power network including medium and low voltage, automation and protection and packaged solutions like battery energy storage and technical houses.

As the Operations Manager you will manage all aspects related to project delivery including the full scope of delivery, Quality & Operational Excellence and Internal Logistic

This Position reports to: Division Lead, Distribution Solutions Sweden.

Your responsibilities

• Develops proactive strategies to increase business profits, customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
• Performance Targets - Ensures achievement of established targets, through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed.
• Focuses on achievement of operating cash flow, project on-time and on-cost, requested on-time delivery (ROTD) and cost reduction.
• Drives quality improvement through target setting, monitoring, and benchmarking to continuously improve processes.
• Drives continued improvements in productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization.
• Customer Satisfaction - Delivers operational/project targets (e.g. ROTD, lead time, quality, etc.)
• Implements Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards and regulations within the units.
• People Leadership and Development - Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed.

Your background

• University degree in Engineering (industrial or mechanical) or other relevant education and practical experience.
• Proven track record in managing an operational business or equivalent relevant background.
• Good sales and marketing skills: in-depth knowledge of the market and competitive environment as well as the customer base and specific client's expectations.
• Broad management experience, with good understanding of major functions like engineering, finance, sales & marketing, production and with full responsibility of Profit and Loss.
• Very good communication skills in English and Swedish
• Passionate about leadership to develop individuals in order to drive the team forward.
