Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Network Technician to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Operate in a large-scale operating environment with approximately 800 servers.
• Engage both proactively in developing existing networks, tools, and methods and reactively in solving incidents.
• Collaborate in a creative environment with competent colleagues to support the university’s core activities in education and research.

What you bring:

• Relevant academic training, such as in systems science, or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience.
• Experience working as a network technician in a large-scale IT infrastructure.
• Good knowledge of hardware and management of switches, routers, firewalls, and DNS/DHCP.
• Solid experience with VPN solutions and WLAN.
• Proficient communication skills in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Experience in advanced technical problem-solving.
• Experience working with Load Balancing, primarily F5 BIG-IP LTM.
• Good experience working with BGP.
• Experience working with 802.1.x (dot1x).
• Experience working with EVPN and VXLAN.
• Experience working with Anycast and ECMP.
• Experience working with version management tools such as git and svn.
• Experience working with Infoblox (DNS and DHCP).
• Experience working with security work and design of network environments.
• Experience with automation and support systems, with a focus on Python or equivalent.
