At Sandvik Group IT and our Secure Network & Application Access department we’re looking for a Network Security Engineer – welcome to a challenging and exciting role where your IT-skills truly makes a difference!

About your job

Your mission is to defend us against hacking, malware, ransomware, insider threats and all types of cybercrime by identifying threats and vulnerabilities in systems and software. Together with your team, you set up perimeter protection and firewalls for Sandvik. To reach set goals you collaborate with different stakeholders (local IT, cyber security technicians, networking team and Azure team) – both internal and external. With your expertise in the area, you always keep one ear to the ground and examine the market to find the right protection needed. As you work in a critical IT environment you need to be aware of the impact your decisions and changes have on our business.

Included in your responsibility is:

• Configuring Zscaler solutions and handling firewall policies.
• Developing and evaluating correct safety standards and policies.
• Ensuring that all stakeholders needs are met and taken care of

The location for this position is either Sandviken or Stockholm. We offer you a hybrid work setup where you can combine office work with work from another location.

About you

We’re looking for a proactive and humble team player with a university degree within IT – or the equivalent knowledge gained from work. You understand different systems and networks, IDS/IPS safety policies and malware protection, as well as safety controls and related infrastructure. You’re a strong believer in sharing best practices and that the best solutions come from joining forces with others. This enables you to happily collaborate with your co-workers to create solutions from regulations and protocols. Acting in a truly global environment calls for excellent communication skills in English.
