ABB Robotics is looking for our new Mechanical Engineer!


Production Mechanical Engineering function is part of Operations development. The function is responsible for designing manufacturing tools and fixtures optimized for the production process. The function is also responsible for technical documentation such as Work instructions to be used by operators in the assembly process.


Your work will be mixed between projects and our day-to-day ongoing work. This is also a prerequisite for you to have a good understanding of our way of working and improvement work. An additional challenge during your time with us will be the relocation of our production into the new Campus Robotics of 65,000 m2 with all that entails, planned in 2026 with efficiency work ahead of the move.


Your responsibilities

  • As Mechanical Engineer you will work in close cooperation with Production Engineering, supporting the daily operation at the manufacturing line as well as ongoing development projects.
  • You will be responsible for developing design solutions based on current needs, all the way from concept generation to final drawing.
  • You will also support Production Engineering in procurement and verification of the developed solution.


Your background

  • Mechanical engineer background at some level is required in this position. If you have been working in production environment, it is an advantage and especially if it has been in a factory with much assembling lines and logistics.
  • Knowledge about CE (process, requirements, etc.) and managing calculation modules in Solid Works is a great advantage. General experience as production engineering is also preferable and a great advantage.
  • You will further be creative, communicative and result oriented. Ability to communicate in both Swedish and English (orally and written) is needed.
