Mechanical Designer

A leading company in the food processing industry is looking for a skilled Mechanical Designer. This role offers an 8-month contract with a possibility for extension, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to industry-leading projects. Your Role: - Oversee design for order fulfillment, including detailed and assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials (BoM). - Focus on designs that optimize manufacturing efficiency, cost, and serviceability. - Release design documentation and BoM in accordance with industry standards. - Conduct Technical Review Meetings to ensure quality. - Act as an activity leader for minor technical initiatives. - Collaborate in virtual engineering and partner with automation and product expert engineers. - Address troubleshooting issues related to design in fieldwork or production. Who You Are: - Holder of an Engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or equivalent, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. - Experienced in mechanical equipment and/or processing technologies. - Proficient in CAD tools like Creo, Windchill-PDMlink, and SAP for Master data managing. - Knowledgeable in welded structures, pipe routing systems, P&ID Flowcharts, Design for Manufacturing (DfM), and Design for Serviceability (DfS) is advantageous. - Background in the food industry or processing technologies is highly valued. Key Details: - Start Date: ASAP - Contract Duration: 8 months, with the possibility of extension. - Remote Work: Not available for this role.
