European Commercial Manager

Reporting to the European Commercial Director:

• Develop short, medium and long-term commercial strategies to ensure projected profitability is achieved

• Deploy these effectively throughout the organisation so that objectives are achieved at project level

• Control costs, establish and effectively manage project budgets and margin for all projects

• Review current commercial capabilities and develop senior commercial manager leads in each country

• Lead and manage quantity surveying teams to ensure efficient project performance

• Identify and manage financial and contractual risk and ensure these are communicated to project team

• Review internal processes on an ongoing basis and identify areas for improvement

• Ensure commercial handover meetings from estimating and operations are held and reported

• Deliver visible leadership on all health and safety matters

• Responsible for the delivery of specific projects

• Liaise with the European /operations Director on the implementation and co-ordination of construction solutions and the highest standards of quality and safety on specific projects of responsibility

• Use strong communication skills to deliver professional presentations to clients and build client relationships

• Represent Collen in the public arena acting always to maintain Collen's reputation and build on its public profile

• Collaborate with the business development department

• Achieve new work and repeat business by increasing the market perception of Collen's capability, actively working industry contacts and building a professional network

• Create an atmosphere of trust and collaboration through sound decisions and clear leadership which elicits respect and inspires teams at all levels within Collen

• Empower growth within the teams through effective delegation, training and professional development

• Uphold Collen's values in all aspects of the role
