WHO ARE YOU?

Reporting to the VP Product and Solutions, the Director is responsible for managing and leading our team of hardware, firmware, and software engineers in our Sweden office. This person would find as much inspiration from the vision of improving everyday products by making them more intuitive, intelligent, accessible, and enjoyable as he/she would in leading and nurturing a team of creative, industry experts striving to deliver to market the best possible solutions given the required constraints.

We seek an inspired technologist who has experience running IoT and/or software product development teams, to lead and grow the team that ultimately innovates and delivers these products. Our Products and Solutions team is multi-cultural, interdisciplinary, and based in Stockholm, Sweden with collaborators in Japan, China, Taiwan, the UK and the US. We are looking for a very skilful leader, an excellent communicator, and a collaborator knowing how to get things working smoothly as well internationally, as cross functionally within the organisation as with customers and suppliers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads product and solutions development team in Stockholm.

• Evaluates growth options, assess new opportunities, and identify bottlenecks. This includes turning strategy into cross-functional aligned tactics.

• Builds and grow exceptional teams in the Stockholm office by hiring, onboarding, coaching, and enabling them to bring products to market.

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure product development aligns with company goals and objectives.

• In close partnership with the VP Product and Solutions, create, assess, update, and communicate a clear product vision and strategy, define and follow robust product.

• Ensures that the product and executive teams have a shared vision of how the product is now and how it evolves in the future.

• Develop strategies and plans for product development and launch, working with your projectmanagement resources and product leaders to remove roadblocks.

• Oversees the full portfolio of products and solutions throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Manages the site and daily operations at the Stockholm office.

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

Education to a BSc level (ideally MSc level) in Engineering, or having gained similar knowledge.

Demonstrable experience working with multicultural cross functional teams in developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable system solutions.

Demonstrated leadership experience (minimum 5 years) in an international environment, in a fast-paced technical environment.

Consumer Electronics, Automotive, White Goods, and/or Industrial products background — either a focus in one area with a broad set of solutions, or a breadth of experience across different markets.
