Commodity Quality Engineer in Sourcing

Your future team Axis Sourcing is a team with highly skilled and motivated professionals, working in an innovative and developing environment. You will be part of a team of 12 individuals working in the volume phase to ensure a qualified supplier base capable of delivering consistent product quality. Internally, you will closely collaborate with various functions within Operations, R&D, Product management, and our Supplier base. What you will do In the role as a Commodity Quality Engineer, you will join one or more community teams responsible for establishing and developing a functional supplier base within specific component areas (e.g., injection molded plastic, castings wiring, or purchased products). You will have global quality responsibility for the supplier base within your commodity responsibility. In this role you will also do: * Planning and conducting audits, improvements, and development of suppliers. * Analyzing customer feedback and other data to identify and drive cross functional improvement activities. * Providing feedback from development projects to the volume phase. Who are you? For this role we believe that you have previous experience in production improvement work, and experience in supplier development. You are familiar with various manufacturing processes, and you have the ability to build personal networks and collaborate across organizational boundaries. As a person we think that you have strong analytical skills, breaking down problems into components and considering long-term/ strategic implications. You are initiative-taking, goal-oriented and have a strong interest in technology. You are a team player who listens, communicates smoothly, relates to others, and enjoys helping others. In addition to this we love for you to have: * University degree from a technical college. * Knowledge of quality methods such as a Continuous Improvements, Projects, Process development, FMEA, SPC and Cmk. * Knowledge of management systems, ISO9001, ISO14001 and auditing techniques. * Strong command of English, additional languages are a merit, incl. Chinese. This position involves approximately 30-50 days of international travel per year.
